The practice consists of a team of four vets who are supported by three veterinary nurses.. The strength of our practice lies in our staff who combine the ideal blend of experience, enthusiasm, knowledge and dedication. All of our veterinary staff in Maynooth, Clane and Edenderry veterinary clinics enjoy gaining a wide knowledge and experience from working with many animal species and engaging in continual professional education.
Donal O’Dwyer MVB , Adv Dip VBM, MRCVS.
Donal qualified in 1985 and before establishing the practice in 1996, he gained broad experience in several well established practices in the UK and Ireland. Donal is particularly interested in small animal surgery and veterinary reproduction. Donal has an Advanced Diploma in Veterinary Business Management. Donal has a Retriever and a Cairn terrier. When not working Donal enjoys cycling, swimming, rugby and gardening.
Paddy Jones MVB MRCVS
Has more than thirty five years of experience in veterinary practice. Paddy became a partner in the practice in 1998.He is particularly interested in clinical medicine. Paddy has a Golden Retriever called George and several cats. For relaxation Paddy enjoys rugby, and golf.
Alexis Collins BVSc MRCVs.
Alexis is from London, having moved to Ireland in 2012. He qualified from the University of Liverpool, working in the northwest of England for the early part of his career. He is currently completing the Royal College certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice, specialising in small animal surgery. His main interest is orthopedic surgery, in particular, surgery for canine cruciate disease and fracture repair. He Has 3 young children that keep him busy outside of practice and is a keen beekeeper. He is based in our Maynooth clinic.
Kathryn Munday BVSc MRCVS.
Kathryn works primarily in our Clane clinic. She has a wide range of veterinary experience. She is very interested in all aspects of small animal surgery and medicine.
Joined the Maynooth Clinic in October 2011, after qualifing from Athlone Institute of Technology. Michelle has also obtained a degree in health science and physiology from Sligo Institute of Technology. Michelle is a big sports fan and particularly enjoys being an active member of the local GAA club back home in Sligo. At home Michelle enjoys the company of her two pet ducks; JJ and Damon.
Michelle Murray R.V.N.
Michelle is based in our Clane clinic. She is very actively invoved in animal welfare and supports the work of several animal charities.
Lorraine works in our Edenderry clinic and is a graduate of UCD . She is a champion Irish dancer.
Keri is our nursing assistant and is based in the Edenderry clinic . She is a keen horsewoman.
All of our nurses have a well deserved reputation for their emphathetic professional care.
